A number of items relating to the British Army Territorial Force Nursing Service.Founded in 1908 to supplement the existing military services, nurses with more than three years experience could volunteer to man emergency hospitals in the event of war.Nearly 3000 nurses were available to serve in 1914 and by the end of the war over 8000 nurses had served in the TFNS.
